Kenton Makes Ironblood its Newest Master Mason
Posted on May 26, 2017
After giving a stellar proficiency during the May’s stated meeting two weeks ago, Kenton Lodge promptly proceeded to confer the sublime degree of Master Mason on Brother James “Ironblood” Elam last night amidst a crowd composed of old and new Kenton Masons and one visiting brother.
The degree was marked with a few new “firsts” for the lodge, most notably having a cast list solely comprising of Kenton members. This has never been done in at least the last 25 years of the lodge’s existence.
Brother Ironblood’s degree is the last degree to be conferred by the lodge before heading into next week’s Grand Lodge Annual Communication in Bend. His degree also makes him the second Master Mason to be raised in Kenton this year, with at least four more to come within the remaining months of the year.
