A Night of Investigation, Courtesy, and Fellowship
Posted on May 19, 2023
Kenton Lodge experienced a profound week following the May Stated Meeting, characterized by investigation, Masonic courtesy, and the warm embrace of fellowship.
Exploring Affiliation
The evening began with an investigation forum, a crucial element in maintaining the integrity and unity of the Lodge, which is a formalized conversation between the Lodge and a potential new Brother. In this case the forum was focused on a Worshipful Brother’s desire to affiliate with Kenton Lodge. The Brethren took this task seriously, carefully considering the Brother’s motives, character, and dedication to the principles of Freemasonry. This process ensured that the Brother’s potential affiliation would strengthen the Lodge and culminated in him being granted a Petition.
A Gesture of Masonic Courtesy
Following the investigation, the Brethren Opened Lodge and conferred a Fellowcraft Degree, extending a Masonic courtesy for East Gate Lodge No. 155, upon:
- BEA Eugene Voyton
Courtesy work symbolizes the unity and support among Lodges, reinforcing the fundamental Masonic tenets of brotherly love, relief, and truth. The Degree work, executed with precision and solemnity, served as a reminder of the journey each Brother has undertaken in the Craft and the lessons learned along the way.
Strengthening Bonds and Building Connections
The evening concluded upstairs, where the Brethren enjoyed refreshments and fellowship. These moments of camaraderie, laughter, and shared experiences are the lifeblood of the Craft and are the reason Masons will continue to meet together in harmony for countless years to come.
