Joshua Wiedeman becomes Kenton’s First Master Mason for the Year
Posted on February 23, 2018
Despite the inclement weather and a schedule that had a few unknown and unexpected variables, the brothers of Kenton Lodge no. 145 managed to raise Brother Joshua Wiedeman to the sublime degree of Master Mason last Thursday, February 22nd.
The degree was performed in the usual Kenton quality and fashion, solidifying the officer corps’ experience in pulling together at a moment’s notice without much fanfare.
The evening also saw a visit from Brother John Giler’s family prior to the start of the degree, who wanted to catch a glimpse of Brother Giler’s newfound Masonic family and to thank the brothers of the lodge for providing much needed support and encouragement during the Giler family’s time of need.
In addition to the Giler family visit, Brother Giler also presented Worshipful Brother M. Phillip Brown with the lodge’s challenge coin as a token of his visit to the lodge and for his tremendous help and support. The presentation was short and emotional, but showed a lifelong friendship between the two brothers.
Got something to say?
