Kenton Celebrates Foundation Day by Initiating Mike Milford
Posted on June 16, 2017
June has always been a special month for the lodge and for Oregon Freemasonry in general. For one, it’s when the Grand Lodge Annual Communication is held. For another, it’s the month when the lodge was formally founded via a charter issued by the Grand Lodge of Oregon 106 years ago.
To commemorate this auspicious event, the lodge members gathered together and initiated Mr. Mike Milford as an Entered Apprentice.
It was also a day of “firsts” for a few notable brothers of the lodge. Honored Brother Ian Cawley, currently the lodge’s Junior Steward, exemplified the Senior Deacon role for the first time to great success. Brother Magic Joe Andres, who was just raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason a few months ago, also gave the charge for the first time.
Brother Milford’s initiation is the fifth initiation to be held at Kenton this year, with at least two more expected sometime in September and October.
Got something to say?
