Kenton Initiates Manase Salema
Posted on March 17, 2018
Last night, the brothers of Kenton initiated Manase Salema into the First Degree of Freemasonry. The degree was conferred by honored Brother Doug Auld, Junior Warden of the lodge with honored Brother Brother Senior Warden Joey Piazza serving in the West and Worshipful Brother Sami Aldrete completing the triumvirate in the South.
Brother Salema, who originally hails from Tanzania, started attending lodge last September and was only allowed to petition last February due to residency requirements. His petition was then voted on favorably last week during the lodge’s March stated meeting, which also saw other notable highlights such as Brother Deryk Moore receiving his life membership certificate and the unanimous passing of a resolution to increase the lodge’s petition fees from $200.00 to $300.00.
Last night’s Entered Apprentice Degree conferral marks the second time the lodge has conferred the degree this year. The first was held in February for Brother Justin Brandt.
