Kenton starts Master Mason Month with Valan Primus Degree

Posted on November 17, 2018

As announced during the its November stated meeting, the lodge proceeded to confer the Master Mason Degree on Brother Valan Primus last Thursday, November 15th.

Brother Valan’s degree was preceded by his Fellowcraft proficiency examination on the same night. True to Brother Valan’s personality, his rendition of the Fellowcraft proficiency was as exceptional as his Entered Apprentice proficiency, which he also gave on the same night prior to his passing to the Fellowcraft Degree last month.

And while the lodge was operating with a skeleton crew, the lodge still successfully conferred the degree with its own members filling up the cast list. Most notable was fellow Kenton member and WM-elect of Friendship Lodge. no. 160 Christopher Chase’s participation in the degree.

Also present during the evening was Friendship Lodge no. 160’s Senior Warden-elect Brother Kent Smith. Regular Kenton visitor WB Robert Hopkins was also in attendance.

The lodge now looks forward to raising Brother Justin Brandt a week after Thanksgiving Day.

There is something in this picture that I like very much. Something that you don’t see in lodges across the river.
