Seaport Lodge No. 7’s Masonic Weekend is well underway
Posted on April 5, 2014
Last year, Washington Lodge No. 46 sponsored the Astoria Masonic Weekend to benefit Seaport Lodge No. 7’s building restoration efforts. Masons, the local community and various businesses got together and contributed time, energy and other goods for an event that generated over $22,000.00 for the lodge’s building fund. Obviously, this was a huge success.
This year, Kenton Lodge No. 145 is honored to sponsor this event, which will be held on Saturday, September 6th, 2014. Just like last year, we’ll be having a Master Mason Degree at noon followed by a dinner and auction event at around 4:00 PM.
Here’s a bit of press from the Daily Astorian regarding Seaport No. 7’s restoration efforts:
I think I speak for all members of Kenton when I say that this project hits a soft spot given that we’ve also gone through an extensive restoration project with our own building in 2011.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Fraternally,
WB Dale Palileo, PM
Worshipful Master for 2014
It would be very remiss of me not to mention the work of WB Erik Arneson (follow him on Twitter), WB Bill Fuzia of Seaport Lodge No. 7 and Brother Steve Witten of Washington No. 46. Their efforts in setting up the 2013 and 2014 Astoria Masonic Weekend is appreciated by the members of Kenton Lodge No. 145.
Got something to say?
