Brethren and Friends,
First off, thanks to those who were able to join us during our May Stated Meeting. It was great to see everyone there, including our potential candidates.
And speaking of candidates, I’m happy to inform you that we read one petition during the meeting. We’ll hopefully ballot on his petition come June, provided that certain pieces fall into place.
We also have other potential candidates who are interested in becoming part of our lodge, and some of them will most likely submit their petition by next month. While it’s great to see interest in the fraternity, we should also keep in mind that guarding the West Gate is equally important. This is not only the responsibility of the Worshipful Master and the Wardens; it is the responsibility of each and every member.
So, what’s in store for us this month? For starters, I’m excited to announce that we’ll be having an Entered Apprentice Degree on the 15th for Mr. Ryan Purcell. As members of of Kenton, we know how important this degree is in terms of setting up the proper Masonic experience for our incoming brothers. I invite you to attend and welcome someone into the fold.
I’m tentatively scheduling a Fellowcraft Degree for the 22nd for BEA Roy Ball as well. This will be dependent on his progress with his proficiency which, judging from his impressive pace, is very likely to be done by or before the 22nd.
We will also be assisting Friendship Masonic Lodge No. 160 in raising BFC Brian Gardes to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason later this month.
To reiterate, this is what’s happening this month:
- Entered Apprentice Degree for Mr. Ryan Purcell – May 15th
- Fellowcraft Degree for BEA Roy Ball (tentative) – May 22nd
- Master Mason Degree at Friendship 160 for BFC Brian Gardes – May28th
