Brethren and friends,
As many of you know, tomorrow will be our Stated Meeting for the month of October. I’ve been apprised of our Junior Warden’s and Senior Deacon’s plans as far as the dinner is concerned and I’m most certainly looking forward to it.
Aside from the dinner, we’ll also be entertaining a few guests. Some are potential petitioners who’ve heard about what we do at Kenton and our strong Masonic focus towards fraternity and fellowship. Others are brothers from Enlightenment Lodge U.D., most notably MWB Rich Martin, who is currently serving as that lodge’s Worshipful Master. More importantly, our Stated Meeting will mark the official visit of RWB Tom Binkerd, District Deputy of the Grand Master of Masons in Oregon for District No. 4.
Hopefully, we’ll be reading a few petitions during the meeting. I know for sure that we’ll be balloting on two petitions that were read last September, which means that we’ll have another busy October ahead of us as far as degrees are concerned. Brother Roy Ball is also expected to give his Third Degree proficiency.
All in all, I’m sure we’ll be having a great time both before and after the meeting. See you tomorrow!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
WB Dale Palileo, PM
Worshipful Master for 2014
Kenton Masonic Lodge No. 145
