On December 12th, 2014 the officers of Kenton Lodge No. 145 and Friendship Lodge No. 160 were duly installed to serve for the ensuing year. MWB Rich Martin, Past Grand Master of Masons in Oregon in 2011-2012, served as installing officer with WB Gordon Johnson (PM) and Brother Nathan Neff serving as Marshals for Kenton and Friendship respectively. WB Steve Thompson served as installing Chaplain for the evening.
The lodge room was packed with various brothers representing lodges within the greater Portland and Vancouver areas as well as dignitaries from Job’s Daughters and other concordant bodies along with friends and family.
The ceremony proper was followed by presentations, with WB Todd Dow presenting his father with his Lewis Jewel representing three generations of Masonic involvement. This touching presentation was followed by WB Dale Palileo presenting WB Todd Dow with his own Lewis Jewel.
Customary to Kenton’s traditions, retiring Worshipful Master WB Dale Palileo was presented with his life membership to Kenton Lodge No. 145 along with other gifts of appreciation from the brethren.
The installation ceremonies were followed by hors d’oeuvres and refreshments and was capped with Kenton’s usual scotch and cigars.
