Despite having a skeleton crew composed of mostly Kenton members, the lodge conferred the Entered Apprentice Degree upon Mr. Ian Cawley last night. It was another evening of firsts as current Worshipful Master WB Michael Shebora was indisposed due to a work emergency, which meant that Honored Brother Senior Warden Andrew Gross was obliged to step in to serve as Worshipful Master for the evening. While his duties were only relegated to opening and closing the lodge as Worshipful Master, Brother Gross performed admirably alongside Honored Brothers Sami Aldrete and Josephus Piazza serving as Senior and Junior Wardens respectively. His strong performance in the Oriental Chair gave a glimpse of what is now expected to be a fun and exemplary 2017.
Due to six officers not being able to attend for various reasons, the lodge would not have been able to confer the degree without the much appreciated assistance of the following brothers serving in several capacities:
- WB Roger Spaulding, Immediate Past Master of Gresham Lodge No. 152 serving as Junior Deacon
- Brother Hunter Bronson serving as Tyler for the opening, Junior Steward for the degree and Secretary for the closing
The lodge also welcomed Brother Entered Apprentice Andrew Hughes from Gresham Lodge No. 152.
