Last night, the members of Kenton Lodge no. 145 conferred the Entered Apprentice Degree on Mr. Tyler Manthe in a ceremony that saw several brothers performing new roles for the first time.

Honored Brothers Manase Salema (Senior Deacon), Zack Andrew (Senior Steward) and Michael Milford (Junior Steward), performed the roles of conferring Worshipful Master, Senior Warden and Senior Deacon, respectively. Brothers Doug Kirkbride and Derek Shaw, who assumed Senior and Junior Steward roles during Brother Alex Hanna’s Master Mason Degree, reprised their respective roles for Brother Manthe’s degree.

The evening then ended on a high note with the usual Kenton Lodge fanfare of celebrations in the dining hall, with brothers congratulating the newest addition to their ranks.

Brother Manthe’s initiation serves as the fourth Entered Apprentice Degree for the year. He follows Brothers Plant, SanFilippo and Haskins-Murphy as the newest Entered Apprentices initiated into the fraternity for 2022. His degree also marks the last initiation for the year as the lodge now looks forward to a very eventful November stated meeting, highlighted by the official visit of the District Deputy, election of officers, the presentation of this year’s Hiram Award, and a vote on the resolution to consolidate with Sunnyside Lodge no. 163.
