Basic School of Instruction: Strengthening Knowledge and Bonds at Kenton Lodge

Basic School of Instruction

Kenton Lodge recently hosted a Basic School of Instruction, providing an invaluable educational experience for Master Masons while fostering a spirit of camaraderie and brotherly love. The Basic School of Instruction is essential for both new and experienced Masons, as it teaches the fundamentals of opening and closing a Lodge, proper etiquette within the Lodge, and serves as a prerequisite for obtaining proficiency cards.

The Basic School of Instruction: Mastering the Fundamentals

The Basic School of Instruction focused on imparting crucial knowledge to the attending Master Masons. Led by WB Dale Palileo, the event emphasized the essential skills and protocols required for the proper functioning of the Lodge. From opening and closing ceremonies to the etiquette expected of each Brother within the Lodge, the instruction was designed to ensure that all Members were well-versed in these vital aspects of Freemasonry.

Furthermore, attendance at the Basic School of Instruction is a requirement for Brothers seeking to obtain their Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced proficiency cards. These cards serve as a testament to a Brother’s commitment to deepening his understanding and mastery of the Craft, and their pursuit is highly encouraged within the Fraternity.

Following the Basic School of Instruction, the Brethren gathered for a night of fellowship, sharing stories, laughter, and experiences. In the spirit of brotherly love, the Brothers shared their thoughts, insights, and experiences from the instruction, which not only enriched their understanding of the teachings but also fostered a sense of unity and shared purpose. As they came together in fellowship, the Brethren were reminded of the importance of supporting one another in their Masonic journey and cherishing the connections that bind them as Freemasons.

The evening’s events served to strengthen the foundations of each Brother’s Masonic journey, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the Lodge. As the Lodge moves forward, the spirit of learning and Brotherly love fostered during this event will continue to inspire the Brethren in their quest for personal growth, mastery of the Craft, and the nurturing of the bonds that unite them as Freemasons.
