Kenton’s officer corps was in full force last night with the return of honored Brother Mike Milford and WB Zack Andrew as the lodge conferred the Fellowcraft Degree on Brother Mike Doty.

Prior to the conferral of the degree however, Brother Doty gave his proficiency in the lecture of the Entered Apprentice Degree. As to the quality of his rendition of the EAD proficiency, WB Valan Primus only had one word: “Excellent.”

WB Andrew assumed the Eastern Chair throughout most of the night, conferring the degree for the first section and giving the all-important “G” lecture afterwards. Rounding out the pillars were honored Brother Milford and WB Primus sitting in the west and south, respectively. WB Ian Cawley gave the staircase lecture in his usual style and panache. WB Dale Palileo gave the charge to cap the evening’s event.

Brother Doty’s conferral finalizes this month’s series of Fellowcraft degrees that started last week with Brother Alvarez’s Fellowcraft Degree conferral. The lodge now has four Fellowcrafts and one Entered Apprentice Mason in its proverbial degree pipeline. It now looks forward to conferring the Master Mason degrees in the near future, with an eye towards proficiency examinations in March.
