Last night, Kenton Lodge experienced another memorable evening filled with camaraderie, tradition, and joyful anticipation as the brothers warmly welcomed two exceptional individuals into their fold.

Brother Joseph Easly of Washington Lodge No. 4, under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Washington, was unanimously awarded his petition for affiliation after a brief yet heartfelt investigation forum. Brother Easly, raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason only last month, already embodies the profound spirit of Masonry through deep-rooted familial connections. The lodge holds special significance for Brother Easly, as three generations before him proudly called Kenton their home, each serving with distinction as Worshipful Masters. His affiliation was not merely procedural but a deeply emotional moment that honored a cherished legacy and marked the beginning of another chapter in Kenton’s history.

Equally celebrated was the lodge’s awarding of a petition for degrees to Mr. MJ Gold. A respected businessman known for his dedication and integrity, Mr. Gold captured the attention and admiration of the lodge members from the moment he was introduced. His genuine enthusiasm, unwavering commitment to the lodge’s values, and sincere desire to join the brotherhood made his candidacy compelling. With great excitement, Kenton Lodge presented him with its third petition for the year, warmly embracing him into the fold as he begins his journey through Masonry.

However, the evening offered more than just petitions—it also became a delightful celebration honoring the birthday of beloved Brother Mike Milford. As a heartfelt tribute, Brother Milford, who currently serves the lodge as its esteemed Senior Warden (the second highest office in the lodge), was surprised with a special cake adorned with the number 2, symbolizing his dedicated service in his current office. The cheerful gathering was a testament to the deep fraternal bonds that define Kenton Lodge, as brothers shared laughter and genuine affection.

Looking ahead, the brethren eagerly anticipate welcoming Right Worshipful Brother Adam Bayer for his official visit next week—an occasion sure to inspire and uplift. Adding further significance to the evening, Worshipful Brother John Lohrfink, Grand Orator for the 2024-2025 Masonic year, is expected to deliver a thought-provoking and inspiring talk.

With such moments of brotherhood, reflection, and anticipation, Kenton Lodge continues to demonstrate why it remains a vibrant and beloved cornerstone of Freemasonry.
