Last Thursday, May 22nd, Kenton Lodge traded gavels for bowling balls at its first official bowling night, and by all accounts, it was a striking success.
Held at Grand Central Bowl, Arcade and Sports Bar, the evening brought together Kenton brethren and their significant others for a night of camaraderie, laughter, and well-deserved fun. The event was the brainchild of Worshipful Brother Valan Primus who envisioned it as a chance to “expand the lodge’s activities while giving the brothers a proverbial break” from the busy stretch of lodge-related work over the past several months.
Living up to Kenton’s unofficial mantra of “work hard, play hard,” the event featured more than just friendly competition. The evening included food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere that reminded everyone of the value of fellowship outside the lodge room.
As a thoughtful gesture, the lodge also presented a small gift to the wives and significant others in attendance — a simple but meaningful way to honor their continued support.
With smiles, strikes, and a few gutter balls shared among friends and family, the night underscored the strong bonds that make Kenton such a unique and vibrant Masonic community. And judging by the enthusiastic response, this won’t be the last time the lodge rolls into Grand Central; plans for a repeat event are already on the horizon.
Stay tuned… and maybe start practicing your aim.
