Last night, Kenton Lodge welcomed Brother Raul Ramirez into the Craft with an Entered Apprentice Degree that once again echoed the excellence and energy Kenton has come to be known for.
While the evening closely mirrored the soaring cadence of the lodge’s two recent degrees, it brought with it a few thoughtful variations. With WB Zack Andrew absent, WB Dale Palileo stepped into the Southern Chair with characteristic poise. Honorable Brother Jason Stewart took on the role of Senior Steward for the first time, delivering a performance marked by grace, precision, and near-flawless execution. Enhancements to the musical arrangements—part of the lodge’s ongoing effort to refine the degree experience—added depth and resonance to an already moving ceremony.
The lecture was delivered by Honorable Brother Derek Shaw, whose steady presence and tone set the stage for the final moment of the evening: Honorable Brother Mike Milford’s presentation of a ceremonial dagger to Brother Raul—a new Kenton tradition that continues to blend symbolism and sentiment with purpose.
The lodge now shifts its attention to a busy and exciting weekend. On Saturday, the Kenton Horde rides out to the Outdoor Entered Apprentice Degree at McMillan Ranch. Then on Sunday, the spirit of brotherhood continues with a barbecue gathering at WB Palileo’s home.
Another degree. Another brother. And Kenton’s momentum carries forward.
