Kenton Holds Stated Meeting for February 2026

February 2026 Stated Meeting - Four Masters

Four Worshipful Masters in the East. The installation of the lodge’s musician. A call for donations to help young men dress properly for interviews. A Masonic education presentation on Freemasonry and personal finance.

These were some of the highlights of last Thursday’s stated meeting. Of course, there were other notable items that made this month’s stated meeting another one for the books.

For one, the brethren were treated to a simple but very healthy dinner consisting of Japanese chicken curry, salad and Japanese-style rice courtesy of our beloved Junior Warden WB Andrew Gross. Assisting him were his stewards as well as Brother Entered Apprentices and potential petitioners.

During the actual meeting, the following visiting brethren were recognized and acknowledged:

  • WB Kenn Thompson, Worshipful Master of Newport Lodge no. 85
  • WB Ryan Mentzer, Worshipful Master of Vista Masonic Lodge no. 215
  • WB Terry Pea, Worshipful Master of St. Helens Masonic Lodge. 32

These sitting Worshipful Masters were afforded seats in the east as a mark of their office. As a gesture of goodwill and brotherly love, WB Mike Milford presented each of them with his lodge coin.

Other visiting brothers were also introduced:

  • WB Jeremiah Pruitt, Past Master and sitting Secretary of Vista Masonic Lodge no. 215
  • WB Peter Grover, Past Master of Esoterika Lodge no. 227
  • A contingent of brothers from St. Helens Masonic Lodge no. 32

WB Samuel Aldrete was also installed as musician for the remainder of the year. His installation marks the final office that needed to be installed, giving the lodge a complete corps of officers for WB Mike Milford’s term in the Oriental Chair.

Honored Brother MJ Gold, Junior Steward of the lodge, took the floor to appeal to the brethren on behalf of the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center. He implored the brethren to donate used neckties, dress shirts, slacks and suits for young men in need. These items will be used to prepare them for job interviews and other employment opportunities.

Continuing the current custom of the lodge, the brethren then retired to the dining area to hear WB Dale Palileo give a Masonic education presentation on “Personal Finance from a Masonic Perspective.” His presentation focused on what the working tools of the Entered Apprentice Degree can teach brothers about personal finance and financial discipline.

The lodge now looks forward to another busy month starting with a Fellowcraft Degree next week for Brother Entered Apprentice Raul Ramirez.
