March 2026 Stated Meeting Recap

March 2026 Stated Meeting - Official Pose

Last Thursday, March 12th, the brethren of Kenton Lodge no. 145 held their usual monthly stated meeting that highlighted a few things and captured the attention of both members and guests.

The evening started with a delicious pasta and Italian sausage dinner prepared by the lodge’s Senior Deacon, honored Brother Derek Shaw. Caesar salad and cookies rounded out the sumptuous feast, along with the usual beverage selections.

During the actual meeting, a contingent of brothers from Corvallis 14 headed by the lodge’s sitting Master WB George Legorreta was recognized. After the introductions, WB Legorreta was escorted to a seat in the East per Masonic tradition and was presented with this year’s lodge coin by WB Mike Milford.

The brethren also witnessed Brother Entered Apprentice Scott Frank deliver an impressive rendition of the Entered Apprentice proficiency. Naturally, he was declared proficient by WB Milford after receiving the “Kenton Public Honors.”

The lodge also noted the absence of several key brethren due to illness and other reasons.

Two other notable news were also brought to the floor: The successful installation of a new water heater for the building and the ongoing negotiations for a longer lease for one of the lodge’s tenants.

True to Kenton fashion, the stated meeting lasted less than an hour. The brethren then retired to the dining hall where the Masonic education portion of the evening was presented by WB Dale Palileo about the “Second Phase of the Yearlong Path of the Esoteric Man.” This education series is a continuation of a six-part series that was started in January.

The lodge now looks forward to a very busy month starting with a Fellowcraft Degree for Brother Entered Apprentice Frank next week, followed by the Masonic Day of Training at Washington 46 on the 21st, and ending with a courtesy Master Mason Degree for Newport Lodge no. 85 on the 28th.
