December Stated Meeting

Posted on December 10, 2014

Brethren and Friends,

Tomorrow evening marks our final stated meeting for the year, which means it is also my final official obligation in the Oriental Chair. While I’ve been told that our dinner will be something simple, it will most certainly still be up to the quality that we have been receiving throughout most of the year.

The evening will also be marked by quite a few great presentations. Brother Nick Mattos will be delivering his Master Mason proficiency. Brother Thomas will be presenting his thesis as part of our Masonic Education feature (and using us as his guinea pigs for his actual thesis presentation). Last but not least, we’ll be presenting the Hiram Award to this year’s recipient.

Also, don’t forget that our installation will be this Friday, December 12th at 6:30 PM. We’ll be doing a dual installation with Friendship No. 160’s officers for the ensuing year.

As I retire from the East, I would like to personally thank all the brothers of Kenton and the core of brothers from Friendship No. 160 for making this year a truly unique and memorable one for me. As a lodge, we have overcome monumental challenges that would have caused any lodge to close its doors and throw in the proverbial towel. Our resilience and successes are exemplary testaments to our character as individuals, and stand as fine examples of strength and brotherhood.

I look forward to Brother Todd Dow’s year and to all of you in continuing what we started. The best is yet to come.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

WB Dale Palileo, PM
Worshipful Master for 2014
